Work at Home Scams

Falling victim to one of the thousands of online business scams is all to common amongst the masses of people looking to the internet to find a suitable work at home opportunity. Far too often people are being lured into yet another business opportunity under false pretenses. All the promises that you will earn thousands weekly with little or no effort.

How about the Rebate, Ad and Email Processing opportunities saturating the market. They state you will simply process an ad, email or rebate by filling out a simple form with data that is provided for you and you will be paid a set fee such as $15 per piece processed. What they don't tell you is that you are promoting affiliate links in classified and pay per click advertisements, that people respond to and purchase something. When they purchase something, you will then process the rebate, ad or email and send out necessary info to the customer. This is nothing like what you expect it to be. Trust me, if you are looking for a simple no fuss way to earn money from home, this is not it.

I know you have heard about the data entry/type from home advertisements. They say you can earn anywhere from about $5 -$30 per form filled. There are a couple of things that they don't tell you up front because most of the time, if you know this up front, you will not purchase the program.

What don't they want you to know? First, is that the ads that you place online are paid advertisements, so you will have to pay a designated amount per click on each ad placed. Which means that unless you are making money very quickly, you are starting out losing money! Second, is that you ONLY make money when one of the clicks becomes a sale. Which means that the amount you are spending on pay-per-click advertisements has to be low enough to be covered by the number of clicks that turn into actual sales.

I don't know about you, but I don't want to rely on something that is not a guaranteed income. I want to know that I will make a steady income for my family, and I don't have to stress over how I am going to be able to do that.

In my personal experience, Rebate Processing is a complete scam, unless you were expecting to have to become an affiliate promoting countless products online to receive the information to process your rebates. Data Entry and Typing programs mostly just amount to posting an article or advertisement with an affiliate link that earns you money if someone clicks your link and purchases whatever you are promoting.

If you are interested in this type of work at home opportunity I suggest really researching every aspect of the opportunities you are considering because many of them are just alike. There are only a select few that will turn out to be what you are actually looking for. The Rebate Processing program I signed up for was called Process At Home. First, it was like pulling teeth to get my training materials emailed to me weekly. By the time I received and completed the 7 week training I was so frustrated I was ready to get my money back. I wasn't even half way through the training. The only info about rebate processing was about affiliate marketing and processing rebates. I decided it was not for me and requested a refund, never received it. I called back and requested it at least 3 more times and still to this day (now 7 days past the 90 day period to get my money back) waiting for my refund for the $197 startup fee. This is the biggest scam I have seen yet.

If you have personal experience with an internet scam let me know. You can comment about it or send it to me personally to be posted on my blog.
